MAKE A TANGIBLE IMPACT

EVERY ACTION AND CONTRIBUTION MATTERS. WHETHER AS INDIVIDUALS OR BUSINESSES, ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING IN UPLIFTMENT EFFORTS CREATES A TANGIBLE IMPACT.

Donating to a public benefit organisation (PBO) is of great significance in positive impact it has on the lives of beneficiaries. As professionals, we have a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of our community, country and individuals. It is essential for us to pay forward the shared success we have experienced and acknowledge the contributions of others in shaping our professional journeys.

However, the PPS Foundation’s various avenues for supporting individuals, such as bursary programmes, university assistance and mentorship through the LEAP programme, heavily depend on receiving financial support from businesses and individuals. Through financial contributions, donations of goods, and time and resources, these stakeholders play a crucial role in driving the desired transformation in South Africa. Even simple acts – like donating second-hand laptops or office equipment – can address the diverse needs of the PBO and the community it serves.

Every action and contribution matters. Whether as individuals or businesses, actively participating in upliftment efforts creates a tangible impact. In the face of the current challenging economic climate, considering the profound effects on the less privileged becomes even more vital. By adopting any of these programmes, businesses can inspire their employees to become purpose-driven entities that contribute positively to society. An added benefit of supporting a PBO like the PPS Foundation is that individuals and companies who do so can claim an annual tax deduction through the S18(A) deduction.

The influence of professionals encouraging other professionals to join the cause is significant, leading to a compounding effect in terms of upliftment, skills development and bursary opportunities. Now is a critical moment for professionals and businesses to unite and take action for the future development of South African professionals. The next generation depends on our support for their education, involvement in higher learning institutions, preparation for the workplace, and seasoned professionals’ valuable guidance.

Together, we can serve as catalysts for change, shaping a brighter future for all.

You too can help nurture the potential of our youth. Donate today to help the PPS Foundation increase the reach and impact of its programmes.
