In 2022, the PPS Foundation continued on its positive trajectory in its mission to support education and empower South Africa’s youth. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation witnessed remarkable recovery and progress. Collaborating with PPS Healthcare Administrators (PPSHA) and Accredited Resource Consulting Services (ARCS), the Foundation granted bursaries to 73 students at tertiary institutions, with 28 students completing their studies without any financial debt.
In its operations, the PPS Foundation team maintains a personal connection with each bursary holder, establishing a personalised partnership that plays a vital role in helping the bursary holders to achieve their academic aspirations. This close relationship not only ensures the success of the bursary recipients but also contributes to the overall success of the Foundation by eliminating the dropout rate of bursary holders. This meaningful connection is highly valued by both bursary holders and the Foundation team.
Education is widely recognised as the cornerstone of success. The PPS Foundation actively collaborates with tertiary institutions and their students, ensuring that students not only attain their qualifications but also develop the necessary skills for the professional world. This objective is accomplished through a range of comprehensive programmes and the utilisation of the Professionals Connect digital platform. By fostering such initiatives, the Foundation actively supports students in their journey towards academic achievement and career readiness.
The PPS Foundation’s impact on South Africa is truly transformative, focusing on educating and empowering one child at a time. As Nelson Mandela once stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
The PPS Foundation is dedicated to driving positive change in our country and the world. We wholeheartedly invite everyone to join us on this journey of transformation.
We acknowledge that our achievements were only possible due to the collective efforts of our stakeholders, dedicated staff, esteemed board of trustees, our raison d’être - our beneficiaries, PPS members and the wider public. We would like to extend our gratitude to The PPS Foundation Founder, PPS Insurance, for their ongoing support and contributions. Your continued support and partnership is crucial in shaping the PPS Foundation’s future and realising our goal of nurturing the potential of the youth for generations to come. Thank you for sharing your success with us. Indeed, success is better shared.
Student funding remains a challenge in South Africa and we know that we can count on everybody’s support going forward. To maximise the PPS Foundation’s impact, we urge all organisations and individuals to contribute through our user-friendly and enhanced Donations Platform
