Nitrogen transformation is a beautiful cycle. To say that the nitrogen cycle is important is an understatement, as this essential chemical element is not only needed to make proteins, RNA and DNA, but also life-sustaining chlorophyll for photosynthesis. Plants absorb nitrogen through their roots and animals ingest it when they eat plant matter.
