To sushi, or not to sushi…? There are more anecdotes for pregnancy than there are symptoms these days. With all the contradicting advice being thrown their way, the last thing expectant mothers should be worried about is protecting their income
As of 1 June 2019, our Pregnancy-related Sick Pay Benefit is no longer focused on a list of 17 specific pregnancy complications and is not reliant on hospitalisation. If a member is booked off work by her doctor for any pregnancy complication, including medically indicated or elective C-sections, the benefit pays for the full recovery period in line with normal Sick Pay claims criteria.
The newly comprehensive cover forms part of the Sickness & Permanent Incapacity Benefit for all our female members. All existing policies have already been updated with this benefit without an additional cost to our members.
